Low-Carb Everything Bagels
These Low-Carb Everything Bagels have the perfect balance of chewiness and crunch, all while being grain-free, gluten-free, and keto-friendly. Using a blend of almond flour, lupin flour, and psyllium husk, these bagels mimic the texture of traditional bagels but with a fraction of the carbs.Topped with Everything Bagel Seasoning, they are savoury, flavourful, and perfect for breakfast or a snack. Enjoy them plain, toasted, or topped with your favourite spreads!
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup lupin flour
- 2 tbsp tapioca flour
- 2 tbsp psyllium husk
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 egg whites
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
Prepare the Dough
- In a large bowl, whisk together almond flour, lupin flour, tapioca flour, psyllium husk, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix olive oil, warm water, egg whites, and apple cider vinegar.
- Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until fully combined.
- Let the dough sit for 10 minutes to allow the psyllium husk to absorb the moisture.
Shape the Bagels
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Divide the dough into four equal portions and roll into balls.
- Place them on the lined tray and use the end of a wooden spoon to create a hole in the centre of each one.
Add the Toppings & Bake
- Sprinkle generously with Everything Bagel Seasoning.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and firm to the touch.
Cool & Serve
- Let the bagels cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy plain, toasted, or topped with dairy-free cream cheese, avocado, or smoked salmon!
